He was born in 1975 in Ankara.  He completed elementary school at Hasan Ali Yücel and finished high school at Işık Lycee in İstanbul.  He graduted from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1997, majoring in economics.  In 2005 he completed his masters degree at Marmara University Fine Art Faculty with the thesis “The Contemporary Photography Schools and Movements in Europe”.

He started his post-graduate education in 2006 at Mimar Sinan Univerisy of Fine Arts.  He is currently working on his thesis “The Transformation that the Technology Cause Over the Photographic Art”.  He became a member of IFSAK in 2001 and he served as a vice-president in 2003 and 2004.  He participated to the organization commitee of Photography Days Festival of IFSAK in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

He acted an active role in the formation of Turkish Federation of Photographic Arts.  In the new administration he was entitled the liason officer of FIAP (International Federation of Photography) in Turkey (2004-2005) and continue to serve in the foreign affairs matters of the federation.  He became the president of one the largest Turkish Student Associations in the USA, Rutgers Turkish Student Association in 1996-1997). He worked as a coordinator at REFO Color between the eyars of 2001 and 2004.  Since 2004 he has been the partner of DIFO Lab, Digital Photography Labs in Istanbul. 

In 2002 he won the first price in the National Orhan Holding Photography contest. In 2009 three of his photographys were exhibited in the Phd Students’ exhibition at Mimar Sinan University.  Since 2008 he has been teaching the course, “The Place of Photography in Contemporary Art”  at Marmara Univesity .  He has been consulting the photography projects at Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation PERA Museum since 2005.
